The First Stages Series includes the following Quartet of Performances:

My Father's Dragon - Sunday, November 5, 2017 - 3:00 PM. The beloved Newbery Honor book about a resourceful boy named Elmer comes delightfully to life in this charming tale about compassion, courage and friendship. Join Elmer as he sets off on a daring adventure to rescue a baby dragon who's being held captive by the ferocious animals of Wild Island. With pluck and ingenuity Elmer makes his way to the Island, outwits the wild animals and saves Boris, the dragon. But can they find their way back home? Using puppets, masks, magical scenic effects and original music, Enchantment Theatre Company brings Elmer's marvelous quest to the stage, with an adventure that reminds us all that we are never too young to make a difference.

Go, Dog. Go! - Monday, January 22, 2018 - 6:00 PM. Go, Dog. Go! brings the adventures of P.D. Eastman’s book to life in a frolicking musical dog party. The cast of this beloved preschool favorite has gone to the dogs—with cars, hats, a moonlit boat ride, and even a wild game of ball—as this hilarious visual spectacle manages to sneak in some important lessons about life between innings. Go, Dog. Go! is a musical romp full of surprises, color, clowning, vaudeville, singing/barking, and of course, six lovable dogs!

Goodnight Moon & Runaway Bunny - Friday, March 9, 2018 - 6:00 PM. Goodnight Moon is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny’s pretend tale of leaving home evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum. Both tales feature endearing rabbit characters, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery never fail to infuse young readers with a reassuring sense of security. Mermaid’s staged adaptation will bring a new sense of appreciation to stories that have delighted several generations.

Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site - Thursday, April 26 - 6:00 PM.  Bedtime is approaching, and this team of construction vehicles needs to get their rest. But Crane Truck is getting cranky, Cement Mixer takes too long with bath time, and Dump Truck just isn't sleepy! Excavator and Bulldozer find that preparing for bed is a job in itself! Will they ever get some shut-eye before tomorrow's day of work? A world premiere musical based upon the best-selling book!
