By August 31, please contribute to the Carson Center Creative Aging Pilot Program through the Fred Paxton Challenge for Charities.
Your contribution will provide seed money for the Carson Center to establish a Creative Aging pilot program in our 2018-19 season designed specifically to engage senior adults. Participants will enjoy coffee, conversation, and artistic activities before joining school children in our theatre throughout the school year to see a live performance in our Class Acts Education Series. Ground-breaking research has found a direct link between creative expression and healthy aging.. With many of our current and potential audiences 55 through 90s in age, the Carson Center is taking steps to establish a Creative Aging Program. The Community Foundation will send your contribution through the Fred Paxton Challenge back to the Carson Center to launch this wonderful opportunity. If we raise $2,500 to $10,000 from your contribution and others, the Community Foundation will “match” your gift with a contribution to the Carson Center endowment fund. Thus, your generosity will help “today” with our new program to engage senior adults with creative and educational experiences. And your generosity will help “tomorrow” by enabling endowment funds to “set the stage for audiences of the future”!
